Vasectomy Reversal: encouraged, overwhelmed, and appreciative

The response from my original Vasectomy Journey post has been overwhelming and encouraging. I am immensely appreciative of all of you who have posted on my blog and contacted me privately through email. I had no idea before posting our story how common our struggles were among the vasectomy reversal community. Your words of encouragement are a treasure to my husband and myself.

For others of you who are contemplating a reversal or who have newly embarked upon the reversal journey please do not hesitate to contact me if you feel led. I would love to pray for you and help in any other way that I can drawing off of our experiences during this journey.

  1. I became aware of your story on a reversal message board that I am a member of. My husband and I will head to Oklahoma to see Dr. Wilson for our reversal on Jan. 24th. We are cautiously optimistic and so overwhelmed and excited for the possibility of adding to our family. Thank you for your prayers! :)

  2. Liz, Thank you so much for your comment and update on your upcoming reversal. I will most certainly be praying for you and your husband. Please do not hesitate to contact me throughout your journey amidst the valleys and peaks. I'd love to find out what reversal board you are part of, you are not the first person to visit because of that board.

  3. As soon as discussion was in the works about us, my hip went out of socket, like it only does when I am expecting. I spent a painful week in and out of the chiropractor and on ice. My husband feels like we made the right decision. Very strange how that happened as we contemplated a reversal. Maybe we are supposed to leave room for a child who is not our own, but needs us. Thank you so much for all of your support. The verdict is still out for us.

  4. Samantha, I will keep praying for you. Perhaps God does have a different plan for increasing your family. Ever considered adoption or fostering?

  5. I found your blog as I was looking for info on vas reversals. Please pray for my husband and I as we look more into this and how to pay for this. I'm making myself sick trying to figure this out.
